The Oakland Roots

I grew up in Oakland, California, where my parents’ entrepreneurial spirit shaped my worldview. Watching them work tirelessly to build their own businesses from the ground up taught me the true meaning of drive and perseverance. Though we weren’t well-off in those early days, they created an incredible childhood for our family—and instilled in me a love of learning and hard work that has never left.

This Bay Area upbringing translated into a lifelong passion for both intellectual challenges and physical adventure. When I’m not building AI systems or architecting data platforms, you’ll find me exploring the world through SCUBA diving, carving down mountains on my snowboard, or pushing limits in the gym through powerlifting and martial arts. I’ve traveled the world extensively the hard way—on two wheels and on foot—collecting stories about adapting to the unknown and finding creative solutions when things go sideways.

The common thread is simple: I love tough challenges that require focus, persistence, and learning something new. That’s the energy I bring to everything I do.

The Professional Journey

Engineering leader with expertise spanning silicon design, P&L management, and advanced AI architecture. I have designed chips at Intel, managed financial operations at Google, and built enterprise-scale analytics platforms that act as the single source of truth for multibillion-dollar organizations. Today, I build autonomous AI agents designed to act as true partners, bridging the gap between human creativity and radical machine productivity.

The Foundation

My career started at Intel designing chips—PCI Express controllers, low-power architectures, and innovating at the silicon level. I quickly realized that while engineers executed the blueprints, the real decisions regarding what to build, which markets to target, and when to ship came from strategy and finance. I wanted to master how those foundational decisions were made.

The Expansion

I earned my MBA in Finance to understand how money shapes technology. I learned how P&Ls drive product roadmaps, how market dynamics dictate feature prioritization, and how financial constraints shape technical architecture.

I put that full-stack understanding to work at Google. Progressing through FP&A, TPM/Operations, and Data Analytics Architecture, I built systems that bridged the technical and financial worlds. The revenue platform I architected grew from zero to 8,000 daily active users, becoming the operational backbone for Google Cloud’s $XXB+ business. I created the first credible customer P&L spanning over 100,000 SKUs, unlocking millions in optimization opportunities. By combining root-cause analysis with machine learning, I solved a data center inventory crisis that saved over $100M in a single quarter.

The impact of this work reached the highest levels of the organization, including a time-tracking and payroll allocation system for Google’s multi-billion dollar P&L framework that was directly greenlit by Sundar Pichai.

The Next Frontier

Having built platforms that serve thousands of users and deliver nine-figure operational impact, I saw the next fundamental shift. AI and machine learning were no longer just incremental tools; they were going to rewrite how enterprise systems function. I wanted to lead that transformation.

I pursued my Master of Information and Data Science at UC Berkeley to formalize deep technical expertise in the next wave of computing: RAG systems, computer vision, NLP, and cloud-native MLOps. I applied these capabilities in real-time at Google Cloud, building AI-powered analytics assistants that allowed business users to query massive datasets using natural language.

What is Next

We are past the AI hype cycle. The real opportunity lies in true human-machine partnership—deploying agents that do not just automate tasks, but actively enhance human creativity and problem-solving. At Ember Agentic Labs, I am building these solutions. My current focus is Crucible, a multi-agent orchestration platform that handles complex software development lifecycles, alongside domain-specific AI tools for adventure travel, automotive, and collectibles.

Beyond the architecture, I am deeply invested in mentoring data scientists and engineers. I thrive in player-coach leadership roles where I can define the strategic vision, guide exceptional teams, and remain hands-on in the build.

Currently: Pushing the boundaries of applied AI as the Founder of Ember Agentic Labs, while keeping the door open for transformative leadership collaborations with teams solving hard technical problems.
